Back-to-school season is one of our favorite times of the year at Kaulig Giving! Once again, our team was proud to continue a longstanding tradition alongside our friends at the LeBron James Family Foundation by providing school supplies for students at the I PROMISE School in Akron.
Ahead of the new school year, Kaulig Giving purchased thousands of classroom essentials requested by the school for more than 500 students in grades 3-8. From notebooks, folders, crayons, markers, and colored pencils to glue sticks, scissors, pencil pouches, dry-erase supplies, and more, our goal was simple: to help ensure students and teachers have the tools they need to begin the year prepared and ready to learn.
Of course, getting thousands of supplies from our office to the classroom takes a team! Kaulig Companies employees came together for a hands-on volunteer day, loading boxes and preparing the massive supply delivery before everything was sent to the I PROMISE School. There’s something incredibly special about seeing our colleagues roll up their sleeves together, knowing that every box, notebook, and school supply will soon be in a student’s hands.
Our relationship with the LeBron James Family Foundation and I PROMISE School dates back to the school’s beginning in 2018. What started with Kaulig Companies’ support of the school’s Media Lab has grown into a meaningful, longstanding partnership rooted in a shared belief in creating opportunities for Akron’s children and families.
Education is an important part of a child’s future, and something as simple as having the right supplies can help students walk into the classroom feeling prepared, confident, and excited for what’s ahead.
We’re grateful to our Kaulig Companies volunteers, our partners at the LeBron James Family Foundation, and everyone who helped make another year of this special tradition possible. Most importantly, we’re wishing every I PROMISE student, teacher, and family an incredible school year!
