Gretchen Schurman

Gretchen is the Philanthropy Coordinator at Kaulig Companies and serves as the Account Manager for Kaulig Charitable Giving Program’s social media platforms.

Gretchen became a part of the Kaulig Companies team during the summer of 2019 as an intern. She quickly fell in love with Kaulig Giving’s good work helping the community and was eager to learn and do more. She worked part-time as a Giving Assistant while in college and then permanently joined the organization as Philanthropy and Events Coordinator after graduating.

Gretchen graduated from Kent State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management with minors in Business and Marketing. She served as the Director of Internal Philanthropy and Director of Fundraising during her time in her sorority, Delta Gamma.

Gretchen recognizes the importance of both corporate and community support. Therefore, working for a company that provides funding to local nonprofits means a lot to her and drives her to further connect and help these organizations. Gretchen’s vision for Kaulig Giving is “to build upon existing relationships and create new ones within the community we are so lucky to serve while preserving our core values.”

In her spare time, Gretchen enjoys spending time with family back home in Pittsburgh, being with friends, volunteering, working out, being a foodie, and traveling to new places.
