Gretchen Schurman
Philanthropy Coordinator
Gretchen is the Philanthropy Coordinator at Kaulig Companies, where she serves as a liaison between Kaulig Companies and nonprofit partners. In this role, she fosters and maintains relationships with community organizations, coordinates sponsorships and events, and manages branded activations that bring Kaulig Giving’s mission to life. Gretchen also serves as the account manager for Kaulig Giving’s social media platforms, as well as Samantha’s Gift of Hope, founded by Matt and Lisa Kaulig, and SantaPICsU, a 501(c)(3) created by Kaulig Companies CEO Tim Clepper.
She joined Kaulig Companies in the summer of 2019 as an intern and quickly became inspired by Kaulig Giving’s commitment to children and families in the community. While in college, she continued contributing as a part-time Giving Assistant, and upon graduation, accepted a full-time role as Philanthropy & Events Coordinator before transitioning into her current position.
Gretchen graduated from Kent State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management and minors in Business and Marketing. During her time at Kent State, she served as Director of Internal Philanthropy and Director of Fundraising for her sorority, Delta Gamma, experiences that deepened her passion for service and strengthened her leadership skills.
Passionate about living authentically and finding joy in her work, Gretchen believes the most meaningful impact comes from leading with heart and staying true to what you love.
A Pittsburgh native, Gretchen recently got married and enjoys spending time with her family and two cats, watching reality TV shows, socializing with friends, walking & working out, exploring new restaurants, and traveling.
