The goal of the University of Akron Zips Racing Electric Formula Design Team is to design and manufacture a high-performance, fully electric, formula-style vehicle that will compete with universities nationally and internationally; to broaden its members’ insights into the engineering profession and ability to work with others in an interdisciplinary team environment; and to better develop its members’ core engineering principles, intuition, and understanding.
