Matt Kaulig, President & Owner of LeafFilter® North, Inc. and Kaulig Racing™ Inc., is a successful entrepreneur and business owner. Born in Columbus, Ohio, and raised in Cincinnati, Matt moved to the Chicago area at age 14 where he attended high school. Matt came to Northeast Ohio to attend the University of Akron, where he was a standout quarterback for the Zips. Till this day, Matt remains heavily involved in the Akron Zips community as he provides aid for the school’s football programs and lends a helping hand in sponsoring events. During his time at the University of Akron, Matt met his wife, Lisa, who was an Akron Cheerleader from Copley, Ohio.
Falling in love with the area, Matt decided to establish roots in Northeast Ohio when he started LeafFilter® Gutter Protection in 2005 from the basement of his home. Thirteen years later, his fast growing company grew from one small office in Hudson, Ohio, to the leading international gutter protection brand. LeafFilter® has been recognized nationally by numerous publications, earning awards for being a Top Remodeler in the nation, and receiving recognition for the company’s growth and expansion.
Kaulig takes his decades of experience, combined with his entrepreneurial spirit, and has shifted into his newest role as Chairman of Kaulig Foundation.
Tim Clepper is the President of Kaulig Companies Limited, the Single Member Family Office for Matt Kaulig and his direct family. For more than 20 years, Tim has been in the financial management business and holds all of his professional asset management licenses which includes the Series 7, 9/10 and 65. Throughout his career, Tim has been responsible for the management of billions of dollars. Thus, his professional background is substantial. In 2008, at the age of 33, he was named Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager in Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management Group. As a result of the shifting landscape of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, and the 2008 financial crisis, Tim launched Ellsworth Private Wealth Management, LLC.
In 2016, Tim was brought in by successful entrepreneur Matt Kaulig, founder, owner and CEO of LeafFilter, to build and manage the Single Member Family Office, Kaulig Companies. As President of the Single Member Family Office, Tim has built, along with Matt, the family office to own and manage brands across a broad spectrum of businesses including consumer products, finance, media/marketing and sports/entertainment. Kaulig Companies Limited also owns Kaulig Capital, the investment arm of Kaulig Companies; Kaulig Racing, Inc., a professional race team in NASCAR’s Xfinity Series; Kaulig Media, LLC, a full-service marketing and advertising agency; as well as The Kaulig Companies Charitable Giving Programs, which includes the Kaulig Foundation. In 2017, The Kaulig Charitable Giving Programs supported over 40 501(c)(3) organizations.
Tim is a board member for several businesses and 501(c)3 organizations including, but not limited to: LeafFilter, Kaulig Foundation, Alex N. Sill Public Adjusters and Akron Children’s Hospital Foundation Board. In 2013, he was the founder of Santa PICsU, a 501(c)(3) organization, which was formed to bring the “healing power of giving” to children and families in traumatic situations. Santa PICsU focuses on children and families who are in local Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICUs) on a year-round basis.
Tim graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kent State University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance. He is a member of Firestone Country Club in Akron, OH, Lake Forest Country Club in Hudson, OH and the Duquesne Club in Pittsburgh, PA. Tim enjoys being with his family and everything that he can do outside, including hunting, fishing, skiing, golf, and coaching lacrosse. Tim has been married for 19 years to his wife, Amy, and together they have three children.
Stacey Guard Langal
Stacey Langal joins Kaulig Companies with extensive experience working with philanthropic organizations for more than 15 years. Langal was a Senior Director of Development at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation where she focused on stewardship, fundraising, volunteer management and event management. During her time at the CF Foundation, Stacey was responsible for raising approximately a half million dollars each year through the Northern Ohio Chapter’s corporate and formal events. She also led the chapter’s advocacy efforts and played a significant role in individual giving.
Prior to her time with the CF Foundation, Langal worked at The Borders Group in Ann Arbor, MI and began her career as a news reporter at Cleveland’s WTAM 1100. She graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
Stacey and her husband, Chuck, have been married for twenty years and have two children together, Maria and Mitch. In her spare time, Stacey enjoys cheering for her kids at their soccer, hockey, and baseball games, traveling, reading, yoga, CrossFit and spending time with her three sisters and their families.
