Matt Kaulig

Chairman, Kaulig Companies Limited

Matt Kaulig is the Executive Chairman of the Kaulig Companies Limited, his single member family office. Matt is a proven entrepreneur and philanthropist as defined by his founding of Leaf Home Solutions™, one of the largest direct to consumer home products companies in the United States and Canada. Leaf Home Solutions™ owns brands such as LeafFilter™ Gutter Protection and Leaf Home Safety Solutions™, one of the nation’s leading fully integrated “aging in place” consumer product providers which includes walk-in bathtubs, wheelchair ramps, stair lifts and handrails.

Matt’s family office, the Kaulig Companies Limited owns and operates brands in five different verticals which includes Sports and Entertainment, Marketing and Event Management, Finance and Financial Services, Consumer Products and Philanthropy.

Several notable recent accomplishments include being named “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Ernst and Young; opening the 64th LeafFilter™ office; winning the “Circle K 250” at Daytona International Speedway with his NASCAR team, Kaulig Racing™, Inc; and opening the first of its kind video production and editing studio, The Kaulig Media Lab, located in the “I Promise School.”

The I Promise School was recently founded by the LeBron James Family Foundation and Akron Public Schools. To date, Matt’s charitable giving programs have provided philanthropic support to more than seventy 501(c)3 organizations.

Born in Columbus, Ohio and raised in Cincinnati, Matt moved to the Chicago area at age 14 where he attended high school and became a nationally recognized quarterback. Matt came back to Ohio to attend the University of Akron where he was recruited by Gerry Faust to be the quarterback of the University of Akron’s Division 1 Football Program in the early 1990’s. During his time at the University of Akron, Matt met his wife, Lisa, who was a cheerleader for the University of Akron Football Cheerleading Program. Upon graduation, Matt and Lisa decided to establish their roots in northeastern Ohio where he founded LeafFilter™ Gutter Protection in 2005 from the basement of their home. Today LeafFilter™ has installed enough product to wrap around the Moon one and a half times.

Matt graduated with his business degree from the University of Akron in 1996 and started in business immediately after his graduation. Matt is a member of numerous Boards for both businesses and charities. Matt and his wife Lisa have one daughter and currently reside in Hudson, Ohio where they remain heavily involved in the community.

Tim Clepper

President, Kaulig Companies Limited

Tim Clepper is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Kaulig Companies Limited, the Single Member Family Office for Matt Kaulig and his direct family.

For more than 20 years, Tim has excelled in the financial management business and holds all of his professional asset management licenses which includes the Series 65. Throughout his career, Tim has been responsible for the management of significant financial assets for both high net worth individuals and businesses. In 2008, at the age of 33, he was named Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager in Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management Group.

In 2016, Tim was hired by successful entrepreneur Matt Kaulig, Executive Chairman of Leaf Home Solutions™ and Founder and Owner of LeafFilter®, to build, and develop the many strategies of Kaulig Companies. As President and Chief Executive Officer of the Single Member Family Office, Tim has built, along with Matt, the family office to own and manage brands across a broad spectrum of businesses including Consumer Home Products, Sports and Entertainment, Marketing and Event Services, Finance and Financial Services as well as Philanthropy. In 2018, The Kaulig Charitable Giving Programs supported over 50 meaningful 501(c)(3) organizations.

Tim is a board member of a number of businesses and 501(c)(3) organizations including, Leaf Home Solutions™, Ellsworth Advisors (RIA), Kaulig Foundation, LeBron Advisory Board (LAB) I Promise School, Alex N. Sill Public Adjusters, Akron Children’s Hospital Foundation Board, and a member of Gridiron Capital’s Board of Business Executives™. In 2013, he was the founder of Santa PICsU, a 501(c)(3) organization, which was formed to bring the “healing power of giving” to children and families in traumatic situations. Santa PICsU focuses on children and families who are in local Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICUs) on a year-round basis.

Tim graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kent State University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance. He is a member of Firestone Country Club in Akron, OH; Lake Forest Country Club in Hudson, OH; and the Duquesne Club in Pittsburgh, PA. Tim enjoys being with his family and everything that he can do outside, including BBQ-ing on the Big Green Egg®, hunting, fishing, skiing, golf, and coaching lacrosse. Tim has been married for 20 years to his wife, Amy, and together they have three children.

Stacey Guard Langal

Vice President, Kaulig Companies Charitable Giving & Events Operations

Stacey Langal joins Kaulig Companies with extensive experience working with philanthropic organizations for more than 15 years. Langal was a Senior Director of Development at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation where she focused on stewardship, fundraising, volunteer management and event management. During her time at the CF Foundation, Stacey was responsible for raising approximately a half million dollars each year through the Northern Ohio Chapter’s corporate and formal events. She also led the chapter’s advocacy efforts and played a significant role in individual giving.

Prior to her time with the CF Foundation, Langal worked at The Borders Group in Ann Arbor, MI and began her career as a news reporter at Cleveland’s WTAM 1100. She graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.

Stacey and her husband, Chuck, have been married for twenty years and have two children together, Maria and Mitch. In her spare time, Stacey enjoys cheering for her kids at their soccer, hockey, and baseball games, traveling, reading, yoga, CrossFit and spending time with her three sisters and their families.
